A Response to the Critics By Kimberly Daniels

Many people have blasted Charisma for asking questions about Barack Obama. It is time to stop arguing and get on God’s side.

God often wakes me up at 5 a.m. This morning He woke me up, but something was different. I felt like wailing in the spirit. A radical feeling I’ve never had before rose up inside me.

God was dealing with me about the upcoming election. My spirit was grieved because people were calling the editor of Charisma, Lee Grady, a racist. I wrote a column in Charisma’s November 2008 issue in which I criticized Barack Obama. Am I a racist? If you know anything about me I am black to the bone and cannot rightfully be called an Uncle Tom. Lee and I stand for what we believe is righteous. Do we have that right?

“If all the aborted babies killed in the United States could come back to life, who would they vote for in this upcoming election?”

I read all the responses on the Charisma forum (fireinmybones.com) and I have a response to those who want to attack Lee Grady. He and I are on the same side! Many do not see it, but lines have already been drawn, and we have to look around and see who is standing with us.

Are we standing with Hollywood? The homosexual activists? The Democrats? The Republicans? The world? Personally, I renounce all of them because I know that they are a part of the broad and the wide that God speaks of. I stand for what is right! What is right can be rooted only in what is righteous!

I think we need to get some things straight. I am not standing with white people or Charisma. I am standing for what I have been standing for every since God delivered me from the whorehouse. I have been preaching the same message since the devils were cast out of me.

The problem is that a lot of preachers have changed their messages for one reason only: They have switched sides! You did not just change your mind; you switched sides!

Let’s not argue about whose side is right. We can agree that a line has already been drawn in the spirit. We can go further to say that somebody is wrong and somebody is right.

I have no choice but to address issues from the position of a believer. That is who I am, and its dictates how I stand and who I stand with. This is not based on friendship, family or even preference. I simply do not have a choice. You never pick sides on issues like this. Just stick to God’s Word and you will end up where you are supposed to be. Remember, God does not take sides; He takes over!

Consider the following:

1. Either it is OK for Barack Obama to blaspheme Romans 1 and call it “insignificant,” or I am on the right side.
2. Either Obama’s voting against Amendment 2 (which states only that marriage is between one woman and one man, and does not stop gay couples from getting insurance rights or visiting each other in hospitals) is OK, or I am on the right side.
3. Either delivering babies up to nine months in a breach position up to where only the head is left in the womb, stabbing them in the back of the neck and sucking their brains out should be legal, or I am on the right side.
4. Either laws that prevent me from preaching the truth about homosexuality, require that I hire one gay person for every so many employees, or force me as a minister to marry same-sex couples or be sued should be passed, or I am on the right side.
5. Either secular humanism (which focuses on the rights of men) should be a priority in America and put before the laws of God, or I am on the right side.
6. Either practicing homosexuals are going to heaven, and there is no devil or hell, and Obama is a born-again believer, or I am on the right side.

You may argue that we cannot say who is a Christian and who is not, and you are right. But the Word of God says we can judge the tree by the fruit that it bears, and we have to know those who labor among us. I am not comparing Sen. Obama to Sen. McCain; I am comparing him to the Word of God. Everything I stand for as a believer, Obama is against!

If you disagree, keep on trucking. This is America, and I have a right to share my view. There are too many people who are confused or afraid to say how they feel, and I need to let them know that they are not alone. All blacks are not blinded by Obama.

Ease up on Lee Grady! Is he a racist because he is saying what he believes? I encourage my other white brothers and sisters to speak up and stand for what they believe. Do not be intimidated by blacks who will accuse you of being a racist because you have godly values!

Even if someone gave me a billion dollars, I could not vote for Obama. (For the right price, would your vote swing either way?) But if he wins, I will pray for him as the Bible teaches me to do.

I am sick of hearing Christians crying about the economy. Matthews 6 says this is what the heathens do. God says we should not worry about what we will eat, drink or wear. It is unscriptural for church folk to depend on any man (or the economy) to meet their needs.
No one wants to admit that the Democrats have been in office a few years, and I haven’t seen them change anything but their minds. I do not have a Democratic or Republican mind-set! I am a born-again believer, and I have the mind of Christ.

God also said that we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. It goes on to say that all we need will be added to us. This word “added” means a “cycle of blessings.” If you maintain the right mind-set during this current financial crunch, you will experience the cycle of blessing that is reserved for the saints. The “cain’ts” and the “ain’ts” will not eat of it!

Today we are standing on Mount Carmel. King Omri sold out when he allowed his son Ahab to marry the witch, Jezebel. The marriage sealed a deal he made with the pagans of that day for economic prosperity. Great trade opened up in the land. Everybody was happy except God!

The Baal worshippers set up their temples next to the God of Israel. They did not want just a right to worship; they wanted equal rights! I believe in equality for all men, but men cross the line when they attempt to be equal to God.

It started in heaven, came through the garden and is resting on America day. Men want to be “like God”! This is what secular humanism is all about, putting the rights of man over the Word of God. They did it at the tower of Babel. Nimrod taught the people that they did not have to fear God after the flood.

People have attempted to build a modern-day tower to heaven in America, but just as it happened in the book of Genesis, the Holy Trinity came down to earth to stop it. It is not just because of the Bush administration that the economy is where it is. God has come down to America, and folks are too busy crying to even notice it.

There is no candidate that can get us out of this mess. We may as well repent and vote morally right. If we do this we can pray to the Lord of the Harvest and He will send His abundance.

Let’s stop killing innocent babies in America, and the land will begin to yield her increase again. You may say, what about the deaths in Iraq? There were deaths in the wars God ordained in the Bible. I never read a Scripture that God had a problem with them.

He did have a problem with people sacrificing their babies to Chemosh and Molech. Innocent bloodshed is major on God’s agenda! And by the way, every soldier that went to Iraq signed up. Nobody was drafted.

The babies that have been slaughtered never signed up to be killed. They were drafted by laws that never considered their rights. And most importantly, they never got a chance to vote! If all the aborted babies killed in the United States could come back to life, who would they vote for?

When Elijah commanded the sky to dry up he was not putting on a show. He was coming up against an economic system that was rooted in idol worship.

The people were praying to Baal to provide rain for their crops. This is why the widow woman was about to eat her last meal and die. She was a Baal worshipper! The idolaters were crying out to their god, and the second heaven was shut to them.

America has been known to be one of the most moral countries in the world. If we (both black people and white people) do not turn from our wicked ways and repent, our country will be just as perverted as some of the countries overseas. America has never been perfect, but she has previously been known to have values.

But we have allowed Hollywood, CNN, Fox, the NAACP and other popular people, places and organizations to be our prophets for many years. Now the voices of the real prophets are mocked, just as in the time of Noah. The people mocked Noah until he entered the ark.

Noah is about to enter the ark in the Spirit! God will shut the mouths of the logicians, statisticians, demonic gatekeepers and prognosticators. The liberal gurus of the media are about to eat their words. God will have the last say!

Many say that the issue in this election is not race. I beg to differ. I have talked to many blacks who disagree with Obama on many things. They still look me in the eye and say, “I am voting for him because I want to see a black man as the president of the United States in my lifetime.”

Many had a shift in their mind-set when Colin Powell endorsed Obama. I respect Colin Powell, but if he is on Obama’s side, he is not the one, either!

It may be true that you are voting for Obama for other reasons, but the fact remains that many people support him for one reason only—because he is black. I live where the rubber meets the road. I do not have a megachurch, and I am not promoting an agenda for you to send money to my ministry or buy my books.

For those of you who think that all preachers have a price, please do not send one dime or buy one book from my ministry. Do not even log onto my Web site if what I am saying offends you. This message is for those who have ears to hear what I am saying and want to know the truth. I am calling all of you who know you have committed spiritual mutiny to get back on the wall!

Come and join me for a cause that’s greater than your individual calling! Let the world, heaven and hell know that we are not moving from the foundation of our salvation.

We must be politically and morally correct as Psalms 11 requires believers to be. If this foundation is destroyed, what can we, as the church, do? Justice has been falling in the streets of America while we have been playing church.

We have gotten into such a backslidden state in America that we need a law to define marriage as being between one man and one woman. Laws have already been passed in some states that make it illegal for anyone to refer to a couple as “husband” and “wife.” They must be referred to as “partners.”

The devil is a liar, and this will not happen in Florida on my watch! I pray that you will be a gatekeeper where you live, too.

Speaking of gatekeepers, for you preachers who are submitting your anointing to denominations that want to debate the issue of homosexuality, you will be judged first. This matter cannot even have a hearing in the third heaven. To debate this issue, you must hang out in second-heaven activity. It is totally demonic.

I also suggest that you down-low brothers in the pulpits and congregations back up and be quiet. You do not qualify to speak. I love you, but do not call me or write a letter unless you want the devil cast out of you! You stay on your side and I will stay on mine.

Keep posting your comments on blogs behind the scenes as you have been doing. The Lord has showed me who many of you are. Be delivered or be busted out!

I have the privilege of praying for the young boys in the church whom you seduce, and my heart is broken over the matter. There are certain things that are sins, and we all have sinned in some way. But what you do is an abomination.

As a prophet of God I prophesy that five of you have six months to repent and wholeheartedly turn the other way, or God is coming to visit you. This thing must be because judgment must start in His house!

You have helped the homosexual agenda against the church with your secret lifestyle. You have turned the offerings of God into filthy lucre, and the stench is strong in the nostrils of God.

No longer shall you be a breeder in the temple. Your demonic reproduction is about to be cut off. Many of you judge Carlton Pearson, but your penalty shall be greater. For you have remained in the house and have been a spiritual reproach.

It is not too late; your tormentors can be released from you, and your sleep can come back to you. But you must move in season or you will never get another chance. The spirit of reprobation is knocking at your door.

God is especially dealing with the foul spirit in the black church and the gospel music industry. There is safety, especially for you now. For the spirits that have hidden you and concealed your filth are about to turn on you and uncover the mud. I speak this to you by the Spirit of the Most High God, and not one word of what I have spoken will fall to the ground.

In closing, let me say that I am not trying to be political. This is a spiritual battle. I am not running for office, and I receive no fringe benefits from anyone who is. I simply stand firm for the Word of God.

As a result, I am required to be against some things. I am not against homosexuals. I am against the homosexual agenda and any person who attempts to stop me from getting my gay brothers and sisters free.

I have employees who have come out of the lifestyle, and gay people attend my church--but they are trying to get delivered. We treat them with love but do not provide a place for them to flaunt their lifestyle.

I also believe that there are instances in which an abortion may be necessary. My fight is against abortion as birth control. Used in this way, it is a human sacrifice.

I am guilty of abortion and have repented. A prophet told me recently that he dreamed he was in heaven. He said he saw two baby boys waiting to meet me in heaven. His words had to be from God because no one knew.

I had an abortion when I was 15, but the procedure was incomplete. I remember being in the bathroom stall at my school with baby parts coming out of me. I am not on a guilt trip, but I have a healthy compassion to save the innocent lives of the unborn. I VOTE FOR THEM!

The attached pictures may be hard to look at, but my prayer is that when you see them, you will understand that somebody has to stop the mutilation of innocent human beings. Obama said that it is above his pay grade to determine when a person receives human rights. I would be afraid to have a leader over so many lives in this country who does not understand life from beginning to end. You cannot help me to get where I am going if you do not know the essence of where I came from.

Let everything that has breath (and babies have breath at conception) praise the Lord! We really cannot stop these babies from praising the Lord. They will do it either here or in heaven. The only difference is that if they do it here, there will be no blood on our hands!

An African Pastor's Uncomfortable Warning to America

.

Uncomfortable Warning to America

Mbijiwe Mwenda says we are being naive to ignore Barack Obama's ties to a dangerous Kenyan politician.

Mbijiwe Mwenda is a voice crying in the wilderness—from the other side of the world.

The Kenyan pastor, founder of Glory Cathedral Church in Nairobi, does not have a voice on CNN or Fox News. But he has been warning Christians during a recent visit to the United States that more is at stake in the 2008 election than anyone supposed.

"Many Americans do not seem to realize the price that has been paid for your freedom," Mwenda says. "I am afraid we are about to lose the America we have known in the past—the America that has been a hope for the world."

"Democratic presidential challenger Barack Obama has a cozy relationship with Raila Odinga, an avowed Marxist politician who now serves as Kenya's prime minister."

Mwenda's main concern: That Democratic presidential challenger Barack Obama has a cozy relationship with Raila Odinga, an avowed Marxist politician who now serves as Kenya's prime minister. Obama, who made taxpayer-funded visits to Kenya in 2004, 2005 and 2006, campaigned for Odinga in 2006.

During public appearances in Kenya, Odinga introduced Obama as his cousin. But later a family member denied that claim, saying that Odinga and Obama's father, Barack Obama Sr., simply came from the same village. Both Obama Sr. and Odinga are from the Luo tribe, Kenya's third largest.

When Odinga ran for president of Kenya last year and lost by a slim margin, tribal violence erupted amid claims of voter fraud. About 1,500 people died (many were killed in machete attacks), hundreds of churches were burned and 600,000 villagers were displaced. The international community had to broker a peace deal, allowing Odinga to serve as prime minister while his opponent, Mwai Kibaki, was named president.

Today, Odinga hopes that Obama will win the White House on Nov. 4 to boost support for his bid to become president of Kenya in 2012.

Pastor Mwenda says he is amazed that Americans don't seem concerned that Obama is tied to Odinga. He rattled off a list of facts that Charisma has verified:

·         Odinga was trained in communist ideology in Europe and holds Marxist views. "He even named his son Fidel Castro," Mwenda says.

·         He has obvious ties to Muslim interests and even received funding for his presidential campaign from Libya. Although he officially claims to be an Anglican, Mwenda says, "[Odinga] has been very sympathetic to Muslims and some say he is a Muslim secretly."

·         Odinga fits in nicely with Arab leaders' plans for Africa. When they convened in Nigeria in 2001, they released a statement indicating that Kenya is to play a key role in spreading Islam throughout southern Africa. Says Mwenda: "Odinga is a dangerous man. A dictator."

·         Odinga has promised to enact Sharia law in "Muslim declared regions" of Kenya—meaning that pork would be outlawed, women could not drive and crimes would be punished according to Islamic tradition.

So why did Obama campaign for Odinga? Independent journalists around the world have been asking that question since 2006. Paula Abeles of African Press International wrote in August: "Clearly Obama campaigned for someone who is corrupt, ruthless and has financial ties to terrorists. … Senator Obama's actions—intentional or not—were in direct conflict with the efforts and interests of U.S. national security."

Many Kenyans are proud that a son of Kenya has a shot at the White House. But Kenya's evangelical Christians are less enthusiastic. Like Mwenda, many of them are also troubled that Obama's paternal grandmother has publicly stated that she sacrifices chickens and pours libations daily when praying for Obama to win the election. "She has been doing this since the [Democratic] primaries," Mwenda says.

"Something is about to go wrong in your country," Mwenda warned me.

I know many people who read my column will assume I am only writing it to boost John McCain's chances at the polls next week. Some of my critics have also assumed that I must have racist tendencies if I am not voting for Barack Obama.

They can assume what they want, but the truth is that I have made eight trips to Africa in the last seven years and it is my second home. I will return there in early 2009. If my situation allowed it I would move there permanently—I love the people, the culture and what the Holy Spirit is doing all over that beautiful continent.

This week I did my own informal poll of African church leaders in Nigeria and Kenya. What I found was that none of them support Obama. Like many American Christians, they are staunchly pro-life, they defend traditional marriage and they certainly do not support politicians who don't take the threat of militant Islam seriously.

They have seen enough torched churches and amputated arms to know better. They have seen Christian children thrown into the bottom of wells to die. They have seen Shariah law cast a dark pall over whole regions. They have watched as Middle Eastern governments pour millions of dollars into their local economies to build mosques and infrastructure and to buy votes.

I asked Pastor Mwenda how American Christians should pray in light of this sobering information. He told me: "I am praying that Obama does not win the White House. It is never too late for God. We can turn the tide. We need to pray: 'Our Father, Who art in heaven, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' We must not allow anything in this nation that is not in His will."

J. Lee Grady is editor of Charisma. Many people responded to his column last week, and to the column by Kimberly Daniels that he attached to his message. Daniels wrote a response to all who replied to her message. To read "A Response to the Critics," click here.

Editor's note: The original version of this column erroneously stated that there were 150,000 killed in Kenya's recent wave of post-election violence. The number was supposed to be 1,500. We regret the error. International news sources have reported various figures, some as low as 500 all the way to 1,500.

Why I Can't Vote For Obama By Huntley Brown

An email from Christian music artist Huntley Brown stating reasons why he won't vote for Barack Obama.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Friends,
A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an e-mail with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but its worth repeating..
First I must say who ever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.
Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness.
I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means he leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms he does because he is the leader.
I can't vote black because I am black I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first black second. Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I wont be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I know Jesus and accepted him as Lord and savior.
In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.
We need to follow Martin Luther King's words don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record.
His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.
NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)
To beat Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing.
Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.
There is a reason planned parenthood gives him a 100 % ratings.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc loves him.
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the supreme court.
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
There is a reason he voted no on partial birth abortion.
There is a reason he voted no on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.
Lets take a look at the practice he wanted to continue.
The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure
A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps.
(Remember this is a live baby)
B. The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
C. The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head.
D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.
God help him.
There is a reason Obama opposed the parent notification law.
Think about this you can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.
There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.
Obama tells us he has good judgement but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wrights sermons. I wonder why now?
Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28 v 19 - 20 Go and make disciples of all nations. This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you, talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?
Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenants that said they have a
1. Commitment to the White Community
2. Commitment to the White Family
3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community .
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.”
Would you support a President who went to a church like that?
Just change the word from white to black and you have the tennants of Obamas former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside.
This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can't be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.
A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if its a white church or a black church its still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.
Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: “Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.
Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?
So what does all this mean for the nation?
In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing judgement.
Read 1 Samuel 8. When Israel asked for a king.
First God says 1 Samuel 8 v 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do."
Then God says
1 Samuel 8 v 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king
you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day."
19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. "No!" they said. "We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles."
21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, "Listen to them and give them a king."
Here is what we know for sure
God is not schizophrenic
He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.
Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.
For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion.
He might have to nominate three or four supreme court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you.
I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this.I know I can look the other way because of the economy.
I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.
Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation,
1 Whose value system should be placed on the nation.
2 Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?
Blessings,
Huntley Brown
Is Obama Really The Man Blacks Need?
By Star Parker
Published: October 14, 2008
It appears that Barack Obama has survived a tough couple of weeks. In the words of some, he’s shown that “he can take a punch.”
But, frankly, I think Senator Obama is still getting kid gloves treatment from a press corps that tilts left.
Despite the hounding about his “bitterness” remarks, and the ongoing story of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, there’s been hardly 10 seconds of attention about his incredible statement that he wouldn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby” if they “make a mistake.”
This in a discussion about HIV/AIDS in which he said that contraception should be included alongside of abstinence in sex education.
Regarding his two young daughters, Obama said, “I am going to teach them first about values and morals.”
First? What are values and morals if there is a second? Faith, of course, includes forgiveness. But values and morals are absolutes. There is a world of difference between forgiveness and teaching alternative paths.
There have been questions, appropriate questions, about how Barack Obama could have been sitting in the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years and suddenly, today, realize he does not agree with him. How so?
We have a good possible answer here. Religion for Senator Obama is not something too serious. It may satisfy some social needs and provide intellectual and emotional salve. But it doesn’t translate into behavioral absolutes.
The arena for addressing life’s dilemmas for Obama is politics not religion. So, in this sense, Pastor Wright had it right. His former congregant is first and foremost a politician.
In answering a question about abortion while campaigning in Iowa last year, the always deliberative Obama said: “I think the American people struggle with two principles: There’s the principle that the fetus is not just an appendage, it’s potential life ... They also believe that women should have some control over their bodies ...”
The fetus is “potential life?”
Shortly after the Supreme Court’s decision last year upholding the constitutionality of the ban on partial birth abortions, Obama spoke at a Planned Parenthood conference in Washington, D.C. Condemning the court’s decision, he said that it was part of “a concerted effort to steadily roll back” legal abortions.
Criticizing Justice Anthony Kennedy, who wrote the majority opinion in the case, Obama said, “Justice Kennedy knows many things, but my understanding is that he does not know how to be a doctor.”
Of course, Kennedy’s job is not to be a doctor, but to be a judge. And in doing so, he included in his opinion testimony of a nurse who participated in a partial birth abortion procedure:
“The baby’s little fingers were clasping and unclasping, and his little feet were kicking. Then the doctor stuck the scissors in the back of his head, and the baby’s arms jerked out ...The doctor opened up the scissors, stuck a high powered suction tube into the opening, and sucked the baby’s brains out ... Now the baby went completely limp. He threw the baby in a pan, along with the placenta, and the instruments he had just used.”
Thus the end of what, for Obama, was “potential life.”
Nat Hentoff, no conservative, but a libertarian who writes for the “Village Voice,’‘ calls Obama the “infanticide candidate.”
In a recent column, Hentoff noted that, while in the Illinois State Senate, Obama voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. This Act addressed cases where, during an abortion procedure, the live infant was actually born. The Act would have banned killing the living child.
Responding to John McCain’s remarks delivered the other day at Wake Forest University about law and judges, Obama contrasted McCain’s pledge of “judicial constraint” with his own concept of legal activism.
Obama said he’d seek out judges “who are sympathetic to those who are on the outside, those who are vulnerable, those who are powerless.”
Aside from this bizarre idea about the role of law, what irony there is in hearing this from a man with zero empathy for our most vulnerable—the helpless infant in the womb.
For the 90 percent of blacks who are casting votes for Obama, know that almost 50 million children have been aborted since Roe V. Wade in 1973, a third of which were black babies. Is this really the man whom our community needs?
    With the upcoming elections 8 days away, satan has worked hard to deflect attention off of the real issue.  This has been relatively easy through the economic meltdown and an unpopular war.  Many Americans, including Christians, will vote based on these two issues.  While these things are obviously important, they pale in light of the real issue-the Supreme Court.
    The cover story of USA Today, on Thursday of last week, spelled this out quite clearly. It stated that the real legacy of the next president won't be the economy or the war, but the Supreme Court.  The next president of the United States will appoint at least 2, and maybe 3, Justices in his first term.  If he serves 2 terms, it could be 5 Justices-there are 5 of the 9 on the Court 70 years old or older!  Since the trend is to appoint younger and younger Justices, the next president will most likely shape the court for the next 30-40 years! This means we are not voting only for a president, we are voting for the Court we want for the next generation! The vote we cast on November 4th will do more to shape the culture we give our children and grandchildren than any other vote of our lifetime!  Perhaps some succinct bullet points will help us see this clearly:
  • Without question, no institution, organization, or agency has shaped the current culture of America in the last 50 years more than the Supreme Court.  You don't need millions of people, the majority in Congress, or the President to shape the culture of America.  You only need 5 people-the majority of the Supreme Court.  Five people can kill 50 million babies (the number aborted since Roe vs. Wade), legalize homosexual marriage, remove parental rights, put God out of schools and government, rob from us our godly heritage, etc.
  • It is now split-sometimes 5-4 toward life, family, morality, our godly heritage, the intent of our forefathers when they wrote the Constitution; sometimes 5-4 toward death, immorality, legislating their beliefs from the bench (though not their constitutional role or right, this is easy-they simply say the Constitution is a fluid, living document and therefore must be changed to accommodate the times), removing God from our nation, etc.
  • 2-3 Justices will retire over the next 4 years, their replacements chosen by the next president; possibly a couple more will step down 5 to 8 years from now, making it 5 potential Justices that could be appointed by the next president if he serves 2 terms. This will determine how the Court rules for a generation.
  • The first two Justices to go will almost certainly be Stevens who is 88 years old and Ginsberg who is 75 and ill.  They are the two most liberal and are no doubt waiting to retire, hoping for a president that will replace them with 2 more liberals.  These two replacements alone, if they are good, conservative judges could shift the Court toward righteousness for many years.
  • Conclusion: our vote this November 4th will be not for a president, not for the economy, not for ending our involvement in Iraq.  Our vote will be for what we want America to look like 40 years from now!
     The ramifications of this are staggering!  We are no doubt reaping great judgment now in America-diseases, family breakdowns, violence, a death culture, destructive weather, and much more-because of abortion alone - not to mention expelling God and His laws from our schools and government.  I don't know that we can survive another 40 years of this without completely losing our godly heritage and destiny.  The economy will recover and the war will end no matter who is elected president-but this is not the case with the Court and the soul of this nation.
       If you don't know where the candidates stand on the Court and the kind of Justices they would appoint, read the USA Today article.  It makes their positions very clear.  Share this information with every friend and acquaintance you have.  And finally, pray like never before for God's will to be done in this election. We CAN win this war and we MUST NOT lose this war.  Pick up your word, go to war and let's make history together. Here are some practical suggestions to consider:
  1. Fast (a meal a day; a day this week; a Daniel fast; 3 days; TV; etc.) and spend the time praying.
  2. Agree in prayer with someone everyday for God's will to be done.
  3. Hold nightly prayer meetings
  4. Take time in every gathering to pray. (Take 15 minutes in every service to pray for the elections. Turn an entire service to harp and bowl style intercession-worship and prayer combined.)
  5. Join 2 or more friends on a conference call and pray for 15, 20, or 30 minutes.
  6. Pray on the way to work (and on the way home).
  7. Pray before you go to sleep.
  8. Pray before church services.
  9. Ask God to give you His strategy-He will!
